Owen Keenan David Walsh is probably best known for growing comically oversized vegetables and fruit. His pumpkins and watermelons are legendary. Once, one particularly pernicious and monstrous melon got away from him as he was loading it into the back of his custom Goggomobile ute. It rolled down the street, striking and writing off my car. The insurance co sure had trouble finding a category under which to file that claim!

"62 Special" is a collection of six original guitar instrumental pieces by David Walsh plus an interpretation of the Chantays "Pipeline". All electric guitar instrumentals were composed and arranged with the feel of the sixties surf rock era in a fond recollection of David's early band days.
The album was a collaboration between David and his son Benjamin Walsh. Ben also played drums, bass, percussion on the album. Benjamin also added flute on "Night of the Living Chiko roll".
The album was recorded mixed and mastered by Benjamin Walsh at Groovelands, Byron Bay NSW
